It was the summer before Catherine’s sophomore year and Gannon’s junior year at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia (GATA!), when they first met through mutual friends. One afternoon, Gannon kindly showed up—Annie, his yellow lab, in tow—to help Catherine and her roommates move into their first off-campus apartment. From that day on, they've spent nearly every day together, the three of them.

In those early days of dating, Catherine and Gannon bonded over their shared love of the coast and (half-jokingly) made a plan to one day move to Richmond Hill, Georgia, a quiet town just outside of Savannah they had only ever noticed on the map while imagining a life together.

A few years, two college degrees, and several job searches later, they did it. They’ve now called Richmond Hill home for two years and recently bought their first house there together. Now, it’s clear that moving there wasn’t just a step, but a reminder of what they can accomplish as a team, and the first of many dreams they plan to chase and build together.

On October 19, 2024, Gannon proposed in the heart of Savannah, under the Spanish moss and oak trees of Forsyth Park. Catherine said yes, and just like that, the city they always dreamed of calling home became the place where their next chapter officially began.

Now, they can’t wait to celebrate their wedding day in one of their favorite places, with all of their closest friends and family! Having everyone they love in one spot is something they don’t take for granted, and they’re ready to make the most of it.
